Shawn MainShawn Main - Registered Physiotherapist and Clinical Director

Shawn graduated with a degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa in 2007, he then went on to get his Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University in 2009. Shawn has been working in private practice since 2009, and has treated people of all ages. He also has experience working with athletes at all levels, ranging from recreational to Olympic. He strives to create individual treatment plans for all of his patients, and believes that manual therapy, education and exercise are the 3 most important aspects of any treatment. He will also use acupuncture, cupping, and taping as adjuncts when needed. Shawn has also taken courses in treating BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo), which is the most common cause of vertigo.

Shawn is born and raised in Ottawa, and is married with 2 boys. While he enjoys playing many sports, ice hockey has remained his true passion.

Dr. Benoît BessetteDr. Benoît Bessette

Dr. Benoît Bessette is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in shoulder. He is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to help patients restore function, relieve pain, and return to the activities that matter most to them.

A graduate of the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Bessette completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at McGill University and a fellowship in Sports medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery in Ottawa. He is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is a member of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Montfort Hospital and serves as a faculty member with the University of Ottawa, where he contributes to the education and mentorship of future orthopaedic surgeons.

Dr. Bessette’s clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of a broad spectrum of upper extremity conditions, including sports injuries, fractures, arthritis, tendon disorders.

He believes that successful treatment begins with an accurate diagnosis and a collaborative approach, carefully considering both surgical and non-surgical treatment options to achieve the best possible outcome for each patient.

At CORPEO, Dr. Bessette works closely with physiotherapists, sport medicine physicians, physiatrists, and fellow orthopaedic surgeons to provide integrated musculoskeletal care. Through a multidisciplinary approach, he helps patients navigate every stage of recovery, from diagnosis and treatment through rehabilitation and return to work, sport, and daily activities.

Dr. Bessette is dedicated to delivering personalized orthopaedic care with an emphasis on clinical excellence, patient education, and restoring quality of life.

Dr. Philip Fleuriau ChateauDr. Philip Fleuriau Chateau

Dr Fleuriau Chateau is an orthopedic surgeon, specialized in knee and hip replacements. He completed his medical training and orthopedic residency at the University of Ottawa, a year of fellowship training in joint replacement and trauma at the Ottawa General Hospital, and finally a year of fellowship training in orthopedic trauma at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He worked at Hôpital Montfort from June 2000 to July 2026, with a special interest in partial knee replacements.

Dr Fleuriau Chateau is now retired from active surgical practice, but will do surgical assisting at Montfort, and clinical office practice at CORPEO.

Dr. Paul JamiesonDr. Paul Jamieson

Dr. Paul Jamieson is a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in sports-related knee injuries, knee arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, and knee replacement surgery. He is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centred care, helping individuals of all activity levels return to the lifestyle they enjoy.

Dr. Jamieson earned his medical degree from University College Dublin before completing his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Ottawa. He subsequently completed two advanced fellowship programs, including fellowship training in Comprehensive Knee Surgery at The Ottawa Hospital and a second fellowship in Complex Knee Reconstruction and Arthroplasty at the University of Toronto.

His clinical practice focuses on the full spectrum of adult knee conditions, including sports injuries requiring arthroscopic surgery, ACL and ligament reconstruction, corrective osteotomy, and the management of degenerative knee disorders. Dr. Jamieson also has extensive expertise in partial, patellofemoral, and total knee replacement, as well as complex revision knee arthroplasty.

Dr. Jamieson is a member of the Orthopaedic Surgery team at Montfort Hospital and is affiliated with the University of Ottawa Division of Orthopaedic Surgery. He works closely with primary care physicians, rehabilitation professionals, and fellow orthopaedic specialists to deliver coordinated, comprehensive musculoskeletal care.

At CORPEO, Dr. Jamieson collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of orthopaedic surgeons, sport medicine physicians, physiatrists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation professionals to provide seamless, high-quality care for patients throughout Eastern Ontario.

Dr. Andrew Marshall

Dr. Andrew Marshall is a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in sport medicine, knee injuries, and the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. He served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Montfort Hospital and is a faculty member in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Ottawa, where he is actively involved in the education of medical students and orthopaedic surgeons.

Dr. Marshall completed his medical degree at the University of Ottawa and his orthopaedic residency at Dalhousie before pursuing the Diploma in Sport Medicine. His clinical practice focuses on sports-related injuries, ligament and cartilage disorders, knee preservation, and the comprehensive management of musculoskeletal conditions affecting athletes and active individuals of all ages.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Marshall has been a leader in Canadian sport medicine for nearly two decades. He has served in medical leadership roles at numerous international multi-sport events, including the Pan American Games, Olympic Games, and Paralympic Games. He was appointed Chief Medical Officer for Team Canada at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and the Milan/Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, where he led a multidisciplinary team of physicians, therapists, mental health professionals, and performance specialists responsible for the medical care of Canada’s Paralympic athletes. His extensive experience supporting elite athletes has made him a respected leader in high-performance sport medicine and athlete health.

Dr. Marshall is committed to advancing excellence in patient care, education, and innovation. He works closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines to improve access to specialized orthopaedic services while fostering a collaborative approach to musculoskeletal care.

Dr. Guy MoreauDr. Guy Moreau

Dr. Guy Moreau is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon with more than three decades of clinical practice specializing in hip and knee reconstruction, musculoskeletal disorders, and orthopaedic surgery. He is recognized throughout Ontario for his clinical expertise, leadership, and longstanding commitment to excellence in patient care.

After earning his Doctor of Medicine from the Université de Sherbrooke, Dr. Moreau completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Ottawa. He went on to complete fellowship training in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty at the University of Ottawa, followed by a fellowship in Orthopaedic Oncology at the University of Florida’s Shands Hospital.

Dr. Moreau has practiced at several of Ottawa’s leading institutions, including The Ottawa Hospital, CHEO, and Montfort Hospital. Early in his career, he was Ottawa’s only orthopaedic oncologist performing complex musculoskeletal tumour surgery in children. His broad surgical experience has since evolved to focus on reconstructive orthopaedics and joint replacement, helping patients restore mobility, reduce pain, and return to active lifestyles.

In addition to his surgical career, Dr. Moreau completed degrees in both Civil Law and Common Law at the University of Ottawa and practiced medical law with Gowling WLG, representing physicians through the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA). His unique combination of medical and legal expertise has provided valuable insight into healthcare governance, patient safety, and quality improvement.

From 2009, Dr. Moreau served as Chief of Staff at Montfort Hospital, where he successfully led the medical staff through the opening of the New Montfort Hospital and played a key role in expanding clinical services, recruiting physicians, and strengthening partnerships throughout Eastern Ontario. His leadership has been recognized for fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence in patient-centred care.

At CORPEO, Dr. Moreau brings a wealth of surgical experience and leadership to our multidisciplinary team. He is committed to working closely with physiotherapists, sport medicine physicians, physiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, evidence-based musculoskeletal care that helps patients achieve the best possible outcomes.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Moreau enjoys skiing, golf, watersports, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Dr. Marc Prud’homme-FosterDr. Marc Prud’homme-Foster

Dr. Marc Prud’homme-Foster completed a fellowship at the Roth|McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre in London. He previously completed his studies at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine and a residency in orthopedic surgery at the same institution.

His practice focuses on upper extremity arthroscopy and reconstruction.

Dr. Marie-France Rancourt

Dr. Marie-France Rancourt is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction. She completed her medical degree and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Ottawa before pursuing advanced fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, one of the world’s leading orthopedic institutions.

Since joining Montfort Hospital in 2015, Dr. Rancourt has focused her practice on primary and complex hip and knee replacement surgery, as well as revision joint replacement procedures. She is dedicated to helping patients restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.

Dr. Mark SteevesDr. Mark Steeves

Dr. Mark Steeves is an orthopaedic surgeon at Hôpital Montfort in Ottawa, where he has practiced since 2012. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Ottawa, followed by an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and an Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.

His practice focuses primarily on foot and ankle surgery, with a particular interest in ankle arthroplasty and joint preservation. Dr. Steeves approaches each patient with care and attention, always working to find the treatment path that best supports their long-term mobility and quality of life.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Steeves is dedicated to teaching and research. He serves as a clinical instructor and lecturer at the University of Ottawa, where he has also mentored foot and ankle fellows since 2017. He has contributed to numerous studies on outcomes in ankle and foot surgery, and regularly shares his findings at national and international meetings.

Dr. Steeves will serve as President of the Canadian Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society for the 2027 to 2029 term, a role that reflects his ongoing commitment to advancing the field and supporting his colleagues across the country. He has also volunteered his surgical skills abroad with Team Broken Earth, providing medical relief in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Outside the operating room, Dr. Steeves values the relationships he builds with his patients and remains grounded in the belief that good care starts with listening closely and treating each person as an individual.

Dr. Patrick Thériault

Dr. Thériault is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction. He completed his medical degree at the University of Ottawa followed by his residency training at Dalhousie University. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee reconstruction at the North Shore Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. Upon completing his fellowship, he established his practice in Ottawa at the Montfort Hospital. His primary interests consist in the surgical treatment of adult hip and knee arthritis
